If you are applying for a Bachelor program, then you must meet the minimum academic requirements of a 2.0 GPA or above in your high school diploma.

AUS does accept transfer students from other recognized universities. Transfer articulations are an integral part of the admission process. Decisions are taken by the Head of Admissions in reference to the course and credit transfers.

Yes, you can defer your entry once within an academic year. If you wish to defer longer, you may be required to complete the application process again.
We advise you to allow a minimum of three months from application to enrollment to complete the appropriate steps to start your studies with us. International students requiring a student visa can take longer due to the visa application process.
Your admission fee needs to be paid by the set confirmation deadline given in your acceptance email. If you do not meet this deadline, you will automatically decline your seat by default.

Yes, all students must have health insurance when studying in Switzerland. AUS works with a provider that you can use, or you can seek your own insurance that covers you in Switzerland.

Students from non-EU/EFTA countries will need to apply for a visa to enter Switzerland. After your arrival,you will also need to apply for a residence permit, which our administration team will assist you with.

Your visa will state the amount of time you can stay or the date by which you must leave the country. These dates are set by the immigration authorities and must be followed accordingly.
Yes, AUS offers accommodation to all students who study a program with us.
The accommodation is in the center of La Tour-de-Peilz, within a 10-minute walk of the campus and in proximity to all the local amenities. The nearest train station is also a 5-minute walk.
Students can choose between shared and single rooms; please note that single rooms are a higher cost. Each room includes all the necessary furniture and bathroom. The accommodation includes a communal kitchen and dining area, as well as a laundry facility.
You can move into your accommodation 1 week before the start of the term, or beforehand if you arrive in Switzerland early. Please contact the administration team if you have any queries.
AUS students are housed on a first-come, first-served basis in our accommodation to ensure an easy transition to life in Switzerland. When this accommodation is full, we work with an accommodation provider in Vevey to house our students.
Students can search for private accommodation if they wish to do so, however for ease and convenience, we advise students to stay in AUS accommodation for at least the first year of study.

You will receive your timetable two weeks before the term starts.
Before you arrive in Switzerland, you will receive an email, which will contain information regarding your arrival on campus and what you will be required to do beforehand, what to bring and other important information.
Geneva Airport is the closest airport to AUS and is approximately 75-90 minutes by train. You can check trains and times via the SBB CFF website.
The train station of La Tour-de-Peilz is located within a 2-minute walk from the center of the town and a 5-minute walk from the AUS campus. From here you can take trains to Vevey, Montreux, Lausanne, Geneva and more.
